Doha, Qatar - In alignment with its vision to revolutionise Customer Experience Management, SEDCO –a global leader in providing retail telecom solutions- in cooperation with its partner in Qatar - Almana Computer Services- has delivered advanced Self-Service Machines (SSMs) to Ooredoo, a leading international telecommunications company in Qatar. The SSMs are the first of their kind in the region, offering Ooredoo’s customers an unprecedented service.

The Self-Service Machines have been implemented in strategic spots across Qatar, making it possible for customers to access the system and to perform a number of services that are normally only available via Ooredoo shops.

This will significantly save customers time, as they no longer need to get the services directly from Ooredoo staff. Preloaded Hala SIM cards registration and purchase is fully automated, granting customers independence, speed, and convenience, which leads to better customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Yousuf Al Kubaisi, Chief Operating Officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “These new and innovative Self-Service Machines are designed to improve our customer experience and satisfaction, as they are available 24/7. With features such as passport scanning and e-signature we are making sure Ooredoo stays ahead of the competition and ensuring our services are as accessible and easy to use as possible.”

Majdi Al Beit Shawish, SEDCO’s CEO, commented, “The latest update to Ooredoo’s network of Self-Service Machines aims to facilitate service delivery to customers beyond the working hours and to transform the whole customer experience. The solution reduces costs, eliminates the crowds of visitors in Ooredoo shops, and allows customers to obtain some services completely by themselves.”
